Lidl Announces Third Pay Rise In A Year Across The UK
Lidl has announced its third pay increase in the past year, committing an additional £2.5 million to enhance wages for its staff.
With this latest increase, the hourly rates of Lidl's shop workers in London will rise from £13.55 to £13.65.
Lidl store staff in other regions will see their minimum pay increase from £12 to £12.40.
This adjustment, set to take effect on June 1st, brings Lidl's total pay investment over the past 12 months to nearly £50 million.
It follows previous investments of £37 million in March and £8 million last September.
The pay raise positions Lidl competitively with Aldi, its chief discount rival, regarding minimum hourly wages.
